An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar (provides the anonymous user profile picture) service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the other users in the context of your content.
WHAT WE MEAN WITH PERSONAL DATA
The personal data we collect about you is for the following purposes:
- Name & Surname: enables the mentions to work, notifications and other members to contact you.
- Email address: Enables the basic functioning of your account, account creation, management, contact and notifications, login.
- Username: For login purposes.
- Profile image: For identification and enhancement of user experience. (optional)
The IA is a closed environment and only accessible by the EUHYBNET consortium and its network and stakeholders including the EC. We do not share or sell this data with other parties.
Please note that at the end of the project, the Innovation Arena will be transferred to another consortium partner: The European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats – Hybrid CoE. With this transfer all the user personal data created in the site during and after the project will be transferred as well. Please make sure you agree to their privacy agreement too.
Although we strive for maximum security and to keep your data safe on our site, we do not guarantee 100% security. The Innovation Arena is a closed group, however, users are advised to keep personal data at a minimum and use strong passwords.
Posting optional, other personal identifiable information throughout the site is done solely on your responsibility. We do not take responsibility for any misuse of data you reveal publicly in this website. You have the full right to cancel your account at any time and, delete your personal identifiable information. Due to the nature of our project, for reporting purposes we cannot delete posted content I.e. ideas, challenges and comments created by users. Instead all published content posted/created by users may be attributed to a generic "Anonymous" account to prevent identification. The site administrator also holds the right to keep certain information for statistical and security purposes. Please note that we may use Google services such as Analytics for statistical purposes, their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
PATENTABLE CONTENT AND STATE OF THE ART SOLUTIONS:
Please take note that once a state-of-the-art solution is published anywhere online, this may create patenting issues to the author later on. For instance if a patentable solution is published before the filing date of a patent application, the novelty of the application and patentability will be jeopardized. For this reason, users must ensure before publishing that no patentable issues may arise as a result of their publication to our site.
MEDIA ON OUR INTERNAL AREAS
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
